Privacy policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
This policy describes how SunoX (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our Android application (the “App”). We aim to be transparent—especially about microphone access and any health-related data you may provide through hearing tests.
Who we are
SunoX is a personalized listening companion published under the developer identity shown on Google Play. For privacy requests, contact us at support@soundamplifier.app (replace with your active support address if different).
Information the App uses
Depending on how you use the App, this may include:
- Microphone audio (live processing). The App requests microphone permission to process environmental sound for amplification features. Audio is used to drive real-time processing on your device. We do not use the microphone to serve advertising.
- Account & sign-in. If you sign in (for example with Google), our authentication provider processes identifiers and profile details needed to create and secure your session.
- Contact details. Where the App collects a phone number or similar contact information for account or support purposes, we use it only as described at collection and in this policy.
- Hearing test / audiogram-style results. Thresholds or related results you save may be stored on your device and, where the App offers sync, in secure cloud storage associated with your account to personalize presets and restore data across devices.
- App settings & diagnostics. Preferences such as language or theme may be stored locally. We may use third-party infrastructure (for example Firebase) for authentication, database, or similar services as integrated in the App.
How we use information
We use the above to:
- Provide amplification, presets, and related audio features;
- Run and store hearing-test flows you choose to complete;
- Maintain your account and session security where offered;
- Improve reliability and fix issues, consistent with store policies and applicable law.
Legal bases (where applicable)
If the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, we rely on appropriate bases such as contract (providing the App you requested), legitimate interests (security and service improvement, balanced against your rights), or consent where required—for example for optional processing you explicitly agree to.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the App (for example cloud authentication or database providers), under contractual safeguards, or when required by law.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Local data on your device remains until you delete the App or clear app data, subject to your device settings.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to reduce risk in line with industry practice.
Children
The App is not directed at children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe we have collected a child’s data improperly, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices & rights
You may revoke microphone permission in Android settings; some features will not work without it. You may sign out or delete your account where the App provides those options, and you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability where applicable law gives you those rights. Contact us using the email above.
International transfers
If you use the App outside the country where our infrastructure is located, your information may be processed in other countries—always with safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will adjust the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or Play listing.
